FAQ
- Are all sports camps held on the Princeton University Campus?
Yes. All of our camps are held on the Princeton University Campus. Campers will use the same facilities that our athletes use during the academic year.
- Who runs the Princeton University Sports Camps?
All of our camps are run by the Princeton University Head Coaches. Princeton University does not permit outside groups/organizations to run sports camps on campus.
- What is the ratio of counselors to campers?
Princeton University Sports Camps require a 10:1 ratio for all camps. However, many of the camps are as low as 5:1.
- When does the camp actually start?
After check-in there is a brief orientation meeting and then sessions begin.
- Do you take deposits for camp?
No. All camps must be paid in full at the time of registration.
- Are there any exceptions made to the age requirements?
Each participant must meet the grade/age requirement for each camp by the camps start date. There are no exceptions to this rule.
- How do I know how many spots are remaining in a camp?
By clicking for any camp you can see exactly how many spots are remaining in that camp.
- How do I request a refund? Is there a fee?
All requests for cancellation must be in writing. All monies paid, with the exception of a $100.00 administrative fee, will be refunded provided the notice of cancellation is received two weeks prior to the start date of camp. No refunds will be provided less than two weeks prior to the start date of camp, regardless of circumstance.
All refunds are issued by check. Please allow 3-5 weeks for your refund to be processed. Please include your child's name, sport, and session they are enrolled in.

- What is Princeton University Sports Camps Federal Tax ID?
Our Federal Tax ID is 210634501.
Parental Release / Health Form Questions
- Are the Parental Release and Health Forms required?
Yes. Both of these forms are required for participation in camp. The forms must be filled out in their entirety with the proper signatures.
**Clinics and tournaments require a one page release form which is different from the Parental Release and Health Form. The appropriate forms are located in your confirmation letter.**
- Can I fax a copy of the form before my child arrives at camp?
No. These forms must be brought to registration. Faxed or mailed copies will not be accepted.
- Does the form have to be signed by a doctor?
Yes. The Health Form must be signed by a doctor. A physical can take the place of the Health Form provided the physical has been within the last 12 months and has a doctor's signature.
- What happens if I don't bring the Parental Release and Health Forms?
If you forget these forms, or they are not filled out completely, your child will not be allowed to participate in camp. NO EXCEPTIONS!
- I submitted a Parental Release/Health Form for a camp earlier in the summer, do I need to complete another one for a session later in the summer?
Yes. A Parental Release/Health Form is required for each session of camp you attend. If you are attending four camps, you will need to bring a copy to each check-in. You may copy the original, provided there is a doctor's signature, and change the camp name/dates.
Housing/Rooming Assignment Questions
- Are roommate requests guaranteed?
No. Princeton University Sports Camps does not guarantee roommate requests or guarantee that entire teams or all campers from a single school will be housed in the same building or on the same floor.
- Can I call prior to camp and find out who my child will be housed with?
Housing assignments are not done until the night before camp, and in some cases the morning of camp. When you arrive at check-in you will receive your housing assignment and can ask who your roommate will be.
- How many campers are in a room?
The number of campers in a room varies based on the building that particular camp is assigned. There can be anywhere from 1-4 campers per room. However, participants may only request one roommate.
- Are there housing accomodations available prior to camp check-in or between camp sessions?
There are no housing accomodations available prior to the start date of camp or between camp sessions.
- How are campers supervised in the dorms?
All counselors are required to stay overnight for each camp. Counselors are divided up amongst the dormitory to provide adequate supervision.
- Are dorms air conditioned?
None of the Princeton University camp dorms have air conditioning. We recommend participants bring a fan for the room.
- How are the campers housed in the dorms?
Campers are housed in the following order: roommate request, age/grade, school. Younger campers will usually be placed with a roommate, while older campers will be given single rooms.

- Is transportation provided by Princeton University to and from the airport?
Princeton University does not provide transportation to or from the airport. Participants can contact the Princeton Airporter to arrange shuttle arrangements to and from the airport. This is the most frequently used shuttle service because it has a stop on the Princeton University Campus.

- What address should I use to get directions to campus?
