2012 ROWING SUMMER CAMPS

HIGH-PERFORMANCE CAMP

Are you tired of the same old rowing camps? Have you ever felt unfulfilled at the end of a long camp, or felt surrounded by other rowers who just didn't share your same enthusiasm and motivation? At the Princeton High Performance Rowing Camps, it is our mission to conduct camps that are productive and motivational in every way. Our world class coaching staff is offering three five-day camps, at which we will analyze your rowing, give you new ideas on how to become a better rower and teammate, and light a fire under you that will burn far into the future. Individuals that are looking for a nice relaxing week away from home need not register.

The camp will mimic a typical week of training at a nationally competitive program. Sessions will be intense and challenging. Campers will be taught the finer technical points of the stroke and will have many racing opportunities built into the training sessions. Along with technique and race strategy other topics include: training and physiology, strength and conditioning and sports nutrition. To ensure individual attention and a high performance camp, spaces are limited. We guarantee that you will leave Princeton having had a camp experience that was far above average, and one that inspires you to reach a new level in rowing.

FACILITIES
All camps will be held on the Princeton University campus, one of the most beautiful and historic campuses in the world. Campers will utilize the Shea Rowing Center - home of the Princeton Tigers and a training facility for the U.S. Men's and Women's National Teams. The center includes moving water row tanks, a strength training room and ergometer room. It is located on Carnegie Lake, a protected body of water, 3 miles long with a 4 lane buoyed race course. Campers will reside in Princeton University dormitories and dine in one of the school's dining halls. All dormitories will have adult supervision.

**Camp dorms do not have air conditioning. We recommend you bring a fan with you camp.**

CAMP STAFF
Each camp is run by the Princeton University Rowing Coaches who are on-site and provide instruction throughout the duration of camp. They may be assisted by current/former Princeton athletes as well as other coaches from around the country.

All staff members are over the age of 18 and must successfully pass a background check in order to work camp.

REQUIRED FORMS
Each participant is required to submit a Parental Release & Health Form at check-in. Mailed or faxed copies will not be accepted. If you are attending multiple camps, you must submit a copy at each check-in. These forms must be filled out in their entirety, including a physician's signature on the Health Form. A Sports Physical may be substituted for the Health Form provided it is dated within 12 months of the camp start date and has a physician's signature. Without these forms you will not be allowed to participate in camp.

A link to these forms can be found at the bottom of this page.
