The Princeton University Weekend College Prep Camp will be a short but intense camp geared towards players interested in playing college soccer. The camp will be coached by members of the Princeton University Men’s Soccer staff along with other college coaches and college players. Camp will consist of two sessions on Friday, three on Saturday, and one on Sunday morning. The sessions will include technical work, small-sided games and exercises, and full-sided matches in a competitive setting. Players will be asked to take ownership of their responsibilities on and off the field, to compete in every session, and to participate in camp meetings and post-game discussions that focus on player development, team tactics, and individual feedback.
Medications at camp - *New for 2013*
In accordance with N.J.A.C. 8:25-5.3(h), Princeton University will not administer medications of any type (prescription or over-the-counter) to camp participants of any age. Princeton University will not be held responsible for housing/storing medication(s). Parent(s)/Legal Guardian(s) and camp participants will be held responsible for administering and housing/storing medication(s) in a discrete place during camp.
We strongly recommend Parent(s)/Legal Guardian(s) of camp participants that have been prescribed medication(s) that are self-administered to treat potentially life-threatening conditions (ie. inhalers, EpiPen) meet with the Health Director during check-in to discuss their use.
The camp will be held on the Princeton University campus, one of the most beautiful and historic campuses in the world. Training sessions and matches will be played on FieldTurf on Plummer Field, adjacent to Myslik Field in Roberts Stadium. Campers will reside in Princeton University dormitories and dine in one of the school's dining halls. All dormitories will have adult supervision with a minimum of a 10:1 camper to counselor ratio plus a Health Director.
**Camp dorms do not have air conditioning. We recommend you bring a fan with you to camp.**
