Winter Rowing Clinic
Clinic
Overview The Princeton University Winter Rowing Clinic is for male and female high school rowers who are interested in enhancing their rowing skills before the spring racing season. Members of the University coaching staff will utilize Princeton's state-of-the-art indoor training center to comprehensively improve athletes' rowing technique, physiological output, core strength, and flexibility.
Two five-hour training sessions will include rowing in the tanks, introductions to ergometer workouts and testing methods, core strength training, intensive stretching, and speakers from either Princeton University or the 2008 US Olympic Rowing Team. In addition, there will be 60 minutes of video review and a reception for parents and coaches at the end of each day.
The camp is ideal for groups of rowers from the same team looking to hone their skills before taking them to the water in the spring, or well-suited for individual rowers trying to get a leg up on their competition for top boats.
Each session is limited to 64 rowers and is expected to sell out quickly.
